KS&G’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group focus on issues affecting competition in the Hawaii market. We handle criminal and civil antitrust matters in federal and state courts in Hawaii and provide antitrust advice and consultation to businesses. We are frequently called upon to provide consultation on U.S. antitrust law to foreign companies doing business here.

KS&G handles all aspects of environmental law and litigation. This includes advising buyers and sellers of real property, owners, developers, contractors, and lenders with respect to due diligence and environmental risk in business transactions, regulatory compliance, permitting, clean-up of contaminated property, liability, and exposure.  Our attorneys have close working relationships with local and national environmental experts, and are able to manage teams of experts from different disciplines to produce an integrated approach to resolving client problems.

KS&G’s Construction Group represents and advises clients through all phases of a construction project, including site acquisition, construction financing, construction and design contract preparation and negotiation. Our clients include public and private owners, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, construction managers, lenders and sureties.  

We represent clients on a variety of construction-related matters, including: 

KS&G’s Land Use Group work with county planning departments and their respective planning commissions, as well as with state agencies, such as the State Department of Land and Natural Resources (and all of its divisions), the State Land Use Commission, the State Office of Planning, the Hawaii Housing Finance & Development Corporation, and the Hawaii Community Development Authority.  Our attorneys have established relationships with officials in these agencies and with the government attorneys who represent these agencies.  This enables us to seek resolution of problems quickly and
