Travis Y. Kuwahara joined the firm in 2019 and focuses his law practice in the areas of estate
planning, trust administration and probate, and trust and estate litigation.
Mr. Kuwahara earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Hawaii William S.
Richardson School of Law. During law school, Mr. Kuwahara received CALI Excellence for
the Future Awards in Trusts & Estates, Federal Income Taxation, Second-Year Seminar, and
Labor Law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kuwahara clerked for two years in Probate Court
for the Honorable R. Mark Browning during his term as Chief Judge of the First Circuit.
In addition to his law degree, Mr. Kuwahara concurrently received his M.B.A. from the
University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business. Mr. Kuwahara grew up in Hilo, Hawaii and
is a graduate of Waiakea High School.
Mr. Kuwahara is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in
all state and federal courts in the State of Hawaii.
