Christine M. Hanzawa joined Kobayashi Sugita & Goda in 2019 and focuses in commercial litigation.
 
Ms. Hanzawa graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 2019, receiving a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing. During the course of her studies, she assisted the Tax Law Clinic by aiding low-income Western Washington taxpayers in resolving their tax disputes with the IRS. She served as the Co-President of the Tax Law Association and as the Vice President of Professional Development for the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and she was a member of the Washington International Law Journal. In addition, she completed judicial externships with the Honorable Justice Sheryl Gordon McCloud at the Washington State Supreme Court, with the Honorable Judge Suzanne Parisien at the King County Courthouse, and with the Honorable Judge Janet Helson at the Maleng Regional Justice Center. Prior to law school, Ms. Hanzawa graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington with double majors in Political Science and English. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Mortar Board Honor Society.
